A Stop Along the Way

All traditions have their celebrations and holidays, the ones associated with parties and joyous gatherings.  I see them as times when we’re encouraged to pause in our journey, stop alongside the path, and take time to rest.  It’s like stopping during a trip to get some food or sleep in a nice inn – even if some work gets done or you spend time thinking about the next portion of the journey, the real point is to take time out.

So whatever your tradition brings this season in the way of celebrations and holidays, take some time to relax and recoup.  We all need it.
